Most children come to the College from one of ten local primary schools. There are close links through the Academic Councils, between all ten schools and increasingly, teachers are working together to ensure genuine continuity of learning throughout the years of compulsory education. Equally, good links exist with the main further education providers and the majority of our students go on to courses in one of these establishments.

A Learning Community
The
Community College, Chulmleigh is committed to promoting learning. This
is the purpose that unifies all our work at the College. We are interested
in learning in the very widest sense of the word. Our view of learning
includes all those aspects of personal development that lead to maturity
- intellectual curiosity, social skilfulness, sporting excellence and
aesthetic awareness. Learning can be demanding. It is sometimes fun, often
routine, always exhilarating, sometimes exasperating and occasionally
inspirational. Whatever its guise or difficulty, we aim to help our students
enjoy learning and to learn how to learn. |
